Joseph E. Slamm – Partner - Head of Infrastructure Investing

Larry L. HenryJoe Slamm is a co-founding partner of Hudson Sustainable Investment and has been a renewable energy investment professional for twenty years.  He is Hudson’s Head of Infrastructure investing and member of its Investment Committee.   Together with his experience as co-founder of Goldman Sach’s U.S. alternative energy investment business within the firm’s Special Situations Group, Mr. Slamm has invested over $2.5 Billion in direct equity investments into renewable power projects, renewable power developers, independent power producers, as well as equipment manufacturers along the supply chain.  

Most notably, Mr. Slamm has invested in some of the most successful companies in the sector, including the initial establishment of Sun Edison: the pre-IPO investment in First Solar; establishment of Horizon Wind Energy where he served as interim CEO; investor in Recurrent Energy,; creation of Element Power where he serves on the board, and establishment of Eagle Creek Renewables where he serves on the board.  Other successful Infrastructure investments include Sun Edison SunE Fund I, Three Winds Holdings, Condon Wind and Hudson Solar Infrastructure Fund I.

Prior to Goldman Sachs, Mr. Slamm held senior positions at Moody’s Investors Services in its structured finance group, Arthur Andersen and Deloitte.  Mr. Slamm holds a B.S. degree from the University of Delaware and is the recipient of the Alfred E. Lerner School of Business Outstanding Alumni Award in 2015.  He also serves on the University’s NYC Dean’s Counsel.
